The Exploring Judaism at Dartmouth group that has been meeting for a few weeks. We have begun a study of one of the most complex works in Jewish philosophy, Mamondies’s “The Guide for the Perplex.”
In this monumental treatise, Maimonides addresses and attempts to reconcile the inherent conflict between philosophy and religion, a problem that continues to this time on matters of, science, ethics, belief and faith in our world.
If you would like to try this, we take turns reading “out loud” and then discuss the ideas “as best” we understand them. We meet tonight and every Tuesday from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome
