Student Groups

Health Resources seeks not only to educate and disseminate information to students, but strongly welcomes student involvement in this process as well. With the exception of SAFE and SHAC (which are student funded, student led and student organized groups) Health Resources trains students as Peer Advisors for our four primary content ares of Alcohol and Other Drugs (DAPA), Eating Disorders and Nutrition (EDPA), Sexual Abuse Awareness (SAPA), and Sexperts (Sexual Health Peer Programming). While these groups are not student led, student involvement is the goal of these programs and paid student interns are hired to assist the respective coordinators in carrying out the training and outreach components of these content areas and their student groups. Each group has a Blitzmail account and bulletin. On the bulletins, respective Peer Advisors list biographical contact information in order to advertise themselves as resources.
