Loratadine

This medicine is used to temporarily relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies, such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, or itching of the nose and throat in patients 6 years of age and older.  It is also used to relieve other upper respiratory tract. allergies.

Loratadine may cause drowsiness or dizziness, although it is less likely than with many other antihistamines.

Alcohol can intensify drownsiness and dizziness, increasing the risk of accidental injury.  People taking Loratadine should use alcohol only with caution.
