About the Pharmacy

The Pharmacy is staffed by registered pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. It is licensed by the NH Board of Pharmacy and registered with the United States DEA.

We welcome questions from patients about their medications and routinely provide counseling on all new prescriptions as well as printed materials about medications.

In order to keep your prescription records confidential we operate on a secure private network. We have developed programs to ensure HIPPA compliance. Our Privacy Practices are described in the Notice of Privacy Practices for the Dartmouth College Health Service.

The Pharmacy carries only prescription drugs. Non-prescription medications and health supplies (e.g. cold medicines, condoms, thermometers, lip balm) are available from our vending machine at the Vending Pharmacy

We stock most prescription medications. If needed, we can special order many drugs with 24 hour notice.

We accept the Pharmacy Plan cards affiliated with Dartmouth College as well as many other national plans. We process claims for these plans on-line. Members of a pharmacy card plan are asked to present their Pharmacy ID card before filling a prescription.

Payment for prescriptions can be made with VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, check or Student Accounts. Charges made to Student Accounts do not state the name of the medication dispensed as that information is confidential and cannot be released without your permission.

We request that you contact us 24 hours in advance for refills and transfers. The Pharmacy can be reached by telephone or fax. Our Blitzmail account is "College Pharmacy"; please note that e-mail messages are processed and stored in computer systems outside of the Pharmacy. A potential exists for messages to be read inadvertently by parties other than the intended recipients.
