Many members feel that the 2 day Member-Guest Tournament is the most fun tournament of the season. It is very competitive, but the competition is kept in perspective in a fun atmosphere.
This is our chance to show off our great golf course to our friends, relatives and business associates. The dates of the 2008 tournament is June 21st and June 22nd with a practice round on June 20th. This is when the course should be just coming into great shape.
The format of the tournament is five – 9 hole matches, played against teams in your flight. Flights are determined by the member and his guest’s handicap, so you will be playing your matches against teams of similar golfing ability. Each team is given 1 point for each hole won, with an additional point given for winning the 9 hole match. The winner of each flight, move onto a shoot-out, in which each team goes out at the same time to a hole-by-hole match.
There will be a party after the Friday practice round and food and beverages served throughout the tournament.
