The Club Championship is the final and flagship tournament for the Hanover Country Club. This tournament crowns the members who play the best golf during the height of the golf season.
The 2008 tournament will culminate on August 16th and 17th, with preliminary matches played in the weeks leading up to the final weekend. Preliminary matches will be scheduled by the players at mutually convenient times.
All levels of golfers are encouraged to play, as you compete in your own handicap level.
The Club Championship is a match play, single elimination format. If you win your match, you continue on to the next round. If you lose, you are done. The exception to this is that if you lose your first match, you can continue on in the consolation bracket.
The top 16 players will compete in the championship flight, and will play straight up (without handicaps). The next 16 players will also play without handicaps in flight one. All other flights will utilize their full handicap.
We encourage all HCC members to participate in The Club Championship.
At the end of the tournament, a party with food will be served for all participants
