Academy Road and Lake Fairlee

This ride passes through a covered bridge, tackles a 2.5 mile hill, navigates around a lake and parallels both banks of the Connecticut River. It is a favorit after work ride.

Etna to Goose Pond

Tour through Downtown Metropolitan Etna, gradual uphill leads to a great downhill before the ascent of the famous Chieftan Hill.

Up and back down along the river.

Steven's Road and Ruddsboro

This ride is all about climbing - gradual incles, a steep mile long hill with views of Killington and Pico, and a slog back to Etna. Half a mile on dirt and a short stretch on Route 4 are the only detractions. For a real workout, try King Hill instead of Stevens.

Etna and Dogford - The Lollipop

Another tour through Etna with gradual inclines and a pass by the last working farm in Hanover.

Union Village

Along the river and then lots of great hills, short and steep, long and steep and a screaming downhill all the way back.

Starts on a hill and then adds two more major climbs. As a bonus, Strafford offers not only scenic horse farms but also one of the most photographed buildings of the foliage season.

One of the toughest hills in the area, 4 miles and a 13% grade at the top. Passes through South Royalton, home to Vermont Law School before ascending the second monster - check out the view of the Green Mountains at the top.

Some steady uphill until you reach Goose Green and a thrilling downhill. Finish it off with a tour of Lake Morey.

Piermont

Two lakes, a river and no killer hills, but plenty of elevation.
