~!~ IMMIGRATION RALLY & THE LGBT COMMUNITY
- Immigration affects the LGBT community too!
- Gay rights flyers were given out during the rally regarding issues that apply to the LGBT community and immigration rights.
- LGBT people don't have the right through marriage to stay in the states.
- LGBT foreigner cannot get US citizenship by marrying their partner, but would instead have to marry someone of the opposite sex.

- Stories, poems, art work is all accepted
- Goal is to promote safe-sex
- Can be about anything!

DISCUSSION:
(Please note that the discussion portion only highlights some, definitely NOT all points brought up. Also, many points are comments that were made, GSA does not necessarily agree with these points. If you are interested, please attend meetings and share your two-sense!)

-!- Nature Vs. Nurture -!-
~ Why is this conversation important?
~ Nothing is black or white -- it's okay to have a "gray"
~ Categorizing is important for human survival, but "dangerous" as well. We need to fight to stop categorizing because it makes people conform to labels: "female", "male", "gay", "straight".
~ Is being gay a choice?
~ Is their a "gay gene"? Why has no one asked "is there a straight gene" ?
~ Gay parents will "raise 'gay children'"
~ Can we naturalize being gay? Will it be detrimental to the gay movement?
~ Do we need a way of knowing if someone is gay? (e.g. a check on license that says one is gay)
~ There are a million different ways that someone can identify themselves -- not just "gay", "straight" and "bisexual"
~ What does it mean to be gay?
~ It's more important to argue that homosexuality is nature because then it would be okay
~ Gay men want to naturalize homosexuality; women challenge the naturalizing argument
~ Sexuality is expression of personality -- It cannot be located genetically
~ If a woman makes out with a man that does not make her any less lesbian.
~ However, if a man makes out with another man that automatically classifies him as gay -- Is this societal?
