• Spoke about there are many things that need to get better about the LGBT community: people don’t reach out enough in the community, more people to come to events and talk about things. More social events!!!!!

• DRA Church Visit
  • Read books to children, “some families had two moms and some families have two dads”.
  • White cake with blue inside – overall message was that things could be different on the inside.

• Hanover high visits. Will have information on how that went in next minutes

• GSA Discussion: This is new for this term (it has been done in the past) I will post major ideas that were discussed, but I will not mention who said what or the great details that it went into. Please try to come to the GSA meetings, at least for discussion which starts @ 8:30. We want to hear what you have to say!!!!
• Gay healthy relationships – does it exist?
• Identity is protected @ Dartmouth?
• Pressure to hide sexual identity?
• It is different to say you are gay/bisexual and have people know compared to saying “I hooked up with that guy/girl last night?” Why do we feel afraid to express our desire?
• Common saying: “I don’t care that you are gay. It’s just that any sort of affection bothers me” – but heterosexual couples blend in so it’s really not something to question compared to seeing a homosexual couples kissing or holding hands.
• Hold your partners hand across the green! You will be surprised to see that many people do not care!
• There is a difference between being known that you are gay and expressing your gayness.
• Gender plays a large role in expression – it’s easier for women?
• Homophobia @ Dartmouth . . . closeted hook up with closeted
