***Dartmouth ranked among 100 most GLBTQ friendly campuses***
As some of you may or may not know, Dartmouth was recently ranked among the 100 most GLBTQ campuses in the nation. Thank you to all those who have worked hard for Dartmouth to merit this ranking but there is still a lot of work to be done. Let's continue to make the GSA, and Dartmouth in turn, a place where we can all feel comfortable in our own skin. Keep up the good work.

***GLBTQ Advisor***
New to campus? Returning for yet another year? Pam Misener is Dartmouth's advisor to LGBT students and holds open officce hours in 214 Collis. Stop by and say hi.

**Welcoming Reception**
It is happening this Sunday, the 24th of September @ 8pm in the faculty lounge of the Hopkins Center. Come meet upperclassmen and new students.

***October is Coming out Month***
There will be a lot going on in October so mark your calendars:
*On October 3rd in Carpenter 213 we will be holding our Stonewall lecture
*The week of october 9th we will be having guest speaker Jennifer Boylan, an English professor at Colby and author of the memoir, She's not There.
* For the Coming Out Month community dinner, we will be having guest speaker Joanne Herman. Joanne Herman matriculated in the last all male class at Dartmouth and is a male to female transsexual.

***Coming out stories***
Will be happening the week of homecoming. Don't forget, all coming out stories are welcome (L,G,B,T,Q,F, and Allies)!

***Costume Party***
Happening on October 31st. Get excited and start thinking of costume ideas.

***More surprises***
Dartmouth is having its first ever Gay Pride! It is set for sometime in May 2007. There is a lot of work to be done in preparation for it so get involved and get psyched . blitz the GSA.

***Big Meeting***
These happen every term. The GSA holds a meeting with another campus groups covering a specific topic for discussion. Past meetings have included Race and Sexuality, gays and God, What it means to be a gay athlete... Ideas and suggestions for this term's Big meeting are always welcomed and can be blitzed to the GSA account.

***Creating Change conference***
In its 19th year, this year it will take place in Kansas City, Misouris Nov. 8-12th. Creating ChangeTM the premier national grassroots organizing and skills building LGBT conference. Each year the conference is held in a different region of the United States and attracts 2,500+ participants from within and outside of the LGBT community. The conference is well known for providing a unique environment where activists and leaders come together from diverse places and backgrounds to create a community that is both strengthening and inspiring to the participants. The 18th Annual Creating ChangeTM Conference was held in Oakland, CA. (blurb taken from http://www.thetaskforce.org/ourprojects/cc/index.cfm)

***dartmOUTh T-SHIRTS and NEW T-SHIRT***
There are still dartmOUTh t-shirts available so blitz the gsa if you'd still like one. There is a new tshirt available as well- Gay? fine by me. Available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and black. There is also a mini contest for the creative minds out there. A gift certificate to an undisclosed business in downtown will be given to the person that can most creatively decorate their Gay? fine by me t-shirts. Get those creative juices flowing.

*** Out for Business Conference***
Happening in NYC October 6-7th. Learn what its like to be LGBT and in business and network with representatives from various banking and consulting companies. For more info blitz Pam or visit this website:

***Gender PAC***
Gender PAC is a national organization that works to end discriminations as a result of gender stereotypes. They hold events in Washington, D.C. where they address the question of gender as well as how to be a lobbyist and how to meet with state senators and representatives to address ceratin gender issues. want to learn more about this non-fr profit orgazation? check out http://www.gpac.org/

***DRA***
interested in being part of the Dartmouth Rainbow Alliance? the DRA will be having its first meeting of the term Thursday the 21st (Today) at 10pm in 107/109 Robinson Hall. Meetings will usually be at 9pm the rest of th term.
