**LGBT KATRINA RELIEF**
The National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC) has formed a "Hurricane Katrina LGBT Relief Fund" to ensure that "LGBT youth and families receive the critical support they need to regain stability in their lives." The group agreed that an effort should be made to raise money for a donation, but no ideas were decided upon as of yet. Please blitz me (proth) with any ideas or if you would like to help.

*****SPECIAL TOPICS******

Sign-up sheets were passed around for those interested in leading committees that will deal with specific LGBT issues and spearhead efforts in those departments this term. ROTC, HIV/AIDS Work crew, and The New Hampshire Freedom to Marry movement were the three issue-oriented committees proposed. Formation of the committees will carry over into future meetings. If you are interested in helping with one of these OR if you have an idea for another committee, blitz the account.

***LA NOCHE DORADA***

*********DRA***********
If you are interested in joining the Dartmouth Rainbow Alliance, blitz the DRA. Meetings are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9pm in 107/109 Robinson Hall.

*****DISCUSSION*****
Kevin Arnold's article on homophobia in the greek system was read by the group and a discussion ensued. Issues addressed included: do instances of homophobia within frats indicate a problem with the fraternity or the individual, should the individual be held accountable for the fraternity, could instances of suspected homophobia actually be completely unrelated, should any institutional inequity be defended, and ultimately, how can we as a group turn this issue into something productive?

Great meeting everyone! Please come to the next meeting (and bring a friend!) in 303 Collis on Wednesday, Oct. 12th. Happy Almost Coming Out Day!
