Director of Graduate Recruiting and Diversity, Sandy Spiegel, may be coming to a town or city near you!
As a part of her on-going search for the best and brightest, Sandy will be globe-trotting and spreading the word about all Dartmouth College has to offer students interested in graduate work. Sandy's hoping Dartmouth faculty and alumni will want to get in on the fun and plan to join her at one of her many recruiting stops.
If you're a Dartmouth alum interested in meeting up with Sandy while she's on the road, and helping her recruit future members of the Big Green community, consult her schedule below. If Sandy's travels will bring her near you, she hopes to hear from you! Contact Sandy today!

On October 4th, 5th and 6th the NSF and AAAS sponsored Historically Black Colleges and Universities Undergraduate Program (HBCU-UP) conference was held in Washington, DC. Sandy enjoyed talking with students and faculty from HBCUs across the country. The poster sessions were quite interesting and the speakers informative.
On October 10th and 11th, Sandy sent information about A & S programs to the career fairs at Bowdoin, Bates and Colby in Maine with a colleague from Thayer.
Sandy was in Kansas City, MO at the time attending the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS). Professor Mako Saito and graduate students, Raquel Martinez and Ernest Heimsath accompanied Sandy. (see above photo) While Professor Saito judged posters and talked with students Raquel gave an oral presentation. All were available at the Dartmouth table to talk with perspective students and alumni who stopped by to say, "Hello".
October 24th - University of California, San Diego
This is the second year that Sandy will attend UCSD's Career and Graduate School Fair. She is looking forward to meeting undergraduates who are interested in a smaller setting for their graduate experiences. It is always fun when the students who have spent a term at Dartmouth as an exchange student stop by to say, "Hi".
November 7-11 - Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students, Dallas, TX
The Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) is one of the most exciting conferences of the season. Sandy always says that she has not seen so many well mentored students gathered in one place. There are over three thousand participants and the undergraduates are among the best young scientists in the country. She will be away with her family, and Professor Brent Berwin with two graduate students will be representing Dartmouth. Sandy has packed their recruiting box and it will be waiting for their arrival.

Sandy plans more trips in the Spring. She welcomes any faculty and alums who might want to join her.
