"Speed Trivia at Ramunto's"

North Park Trivia Night @ Ramunto's (speed Networking) Free Pizza, Free Drinks and Free Trivia! Join your North Park neighbors on Saturday January 26th for good times around Trivia Questions. The quirk? The first half of the event will take on the "Speed Networking" formula. Read further: Each participant will go on a series of 90-second meetings with another person, during which the pair must answer the trivia question of the moment announced by the "guy up front". What Canadian province has abbreviation NFLD? Where were the Olympic Games of 1976? All these and more to be answered while getting to know the person in front of you... in 90-seconds. The event includes one drink ticket (soda, beer or wine) and pizza during half-time. The trivia is 1.5 hours long, then it's just cocktail time at Ramunto's for anyone that wants to stay. Due to the nature of the event, RSVP REQUIRED! All spots not filled by next Tuesday will be opened up to the rest of the Arts & Science graduate community. Questions? David.Lukofsky@dartmouth.edu

"Sugar-on-Snow (Maple Toffee)"

All of us are being served with a nice big cup of spring weather and I'm sure we are enjoying it. A common activity during a non-global warmed New England spring season consists of going deep into the woods, drilling a hole in a Maple tree and drinking the liquid inside. In fact, the act of 'sugaring' consists of taking Maple sap and boiling it down to maple syrup. Boiling it some more thickens the water even more and makes Maple taffy (also known as Sugar-On-Snow). Further boiling gives Maple butter.

To honor this natural wonder, all North Parkers are invited to partake in the NP Sugar-on-Snow Party!

What: North Park Sugar-on-Snow!

When: This Sunday!

North Park Recycles

Residents of North Park Graduate Housing are encouraged to recycle. Here are some pointers.

  1. Steel Cans – these are cans food comes in – i.e. soup; vegetables, etc.  Please do not mix these with the Aluminum/Bottle recycling.
  2. Aluminum Cans/Plastic Bottles – A container for aluminum beverage cans and plastic bottles (milk/juice containers).  Please only include the bottles and cans.
  3. Mixed Paper and Boxboard – Mixed paper includes newspaper; magazines; including Boxboard (cereal boxes, granola bar boxes) no corrugated cardboard.
  4. Glass – Can be any color.  Please do not put in any boxboard that a six pack might come in.  The boxboard packaging should be put into the “mixed paper".
  5. Corrugated Cardboard – Usually light brown in color should be flattened and stacked against the wall.
