Dartmouth Graduate students were recently honored for their valuable contributions as undergraduate teachers at the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL). DCAL sponsored a lunch for Outstanding Graduate Student Teachers nominated by undergraduate students for their teaching in either the classroom or a research setting.
In addition to lunch, the graduate students also had the opportunity to read some of the praise given to them by undergrads in their nomination letters. The excerpts spoke of the high quality of teaching and dedication of the graduate student teachers. “Extraordinary dedication,” “high level of commitment,” “intense passion for teaching,” and “approachable and friendly” were just some of the phrases undergrads used to describe their graduate teachers.
