On Thursday, October 8th, 2009, a welcome reception was held to introduce this year's 2009-2010 Chavez/Eastman/Marshall Dissertation Fellows to faculty with whom they share research and teaching interests.

This year's Fellows include: Graciela Monteagudo, Cesar Chavez Dissertation Fellow; Noelani Arista, Charles Eastman Dissertation Fellow; and Renee Goldthree, Thurgood Marshall Dissertation Fellow. While completing their dissertations, Fellows will collaborate with faculty in LALACS, AAAS and NAS.
