Baker Berry Featured in “Library Journal”

“If [the] halls [of Baker-Berry Library] could talk,” writes Library Journal’s The Digital Shift, “they might say, ‘Treasure the past, but also look to the future.’”

In line with the Dartmouth Library’s tradition of service and culture of innovation, it was among the first libraries to test-drive Serials Solutions’ next-generation discovery service Summon. Summon employs a single search box with which a user searches all of a library’s resources, including the library catalog, using a unified index.

Library Journal asked Dartmouth Library administrators about their experiences on the cutting edge, as a beta tester of a service now used by more than 300 libraries worldwide.
