Grad News Forum Fall Trivia Contest!
Ever wonder which graduate department has the ‘street smarts’ to accompany their academic prowess? Do you argue with your friends from different departments over who is really more knowledgeable? Now, The Graduate Forum is going to settle the score once and for all.
The Graduate Studies Office is pleased to announce the “Dream-Team Trivia Challenge,” the ultimate graduate-student trivia contest. Starting Thursday, September 22nd, the Graduate Studies Office will post trivia questions on their Facebook page. While a trivia question will be posted on Facebook every Thursday, questions will also be released intermittently throughout the week, so vigilance is key. Ranging from Dartmouth-specific trivia to general knowledge, questions will vary in both topic and style, so make sure to keep tabs on the Facebook page.
The first person to correctly answer each week’s question(s) will receive a gift certificate to the Dirt Cowboy. While everyone–faculty, staff, and students–can play the “Dream-Team Trivia Challenge” for a gift certificate, individuals associated with a Dartmouth graduate program who correctly answer a trivia question will not only receive free coffee, but also rack up one point for their graduate academic department. At the end of the “Dream-Team Trivia Challenge,” the graduate academic department with the most ‘wins’ will receive a fully-funded pizza party with all the fixins’ (up to $200), courtesy of the Graduate Studies Office. The winning department will be announced at the Graduate Student Council (GSC) Holiday Party in December.
Still not convinced? Just think of all the ways that winning the “Dream-Team Trivia Challenge” can impact your everyday life.
