  1. Chris says:

I am pretty sure that David Botstein has no former affiliation with Dartmouth. The Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) graduate program at Dartmouth has only existed for about 10 years and Dr. Botstein has directed his own lab for about 40 years. Wikipedia claims that his degrees are from Harvard and Michigan. Brooke Jude is the connection to Dartmouth and MCB (maybe her picture should go here); Botstein is involved because his brother is president of Bard and because he is a world-renowned biologist. We can hope that alumni of Dartmouth’s MCB program will eventually reach the status that Dr. Botstein has achieved, but we will have to wait a few more years.

Despite this article, I really like the online grad forum.

Chris, thank you for the feedback. Yes, Botstein went to Harvard as an undergraduate and received his PhD from Michigan. The picture has been changed to Brooke Jude; sorry for the ambiguity.
