2. UNSTATS or United Nations Statistics Division Common Database

TIPS:

INFO: This database is the UN's attempt at an "umbrella" to house as many statistics as possible in one database.

3. World Development Indicators (WDI) Online

INFO: Produced by the World Bank. Another attempt at one-stop shopping for non-financial statistics. Also includes some unique variables (personal computers per 1,000 people).

4. International Data Base

TIPS: Click on "Online Access." Year selection includes 1950 thru 2050 because projections are included in the database.
INFO: U.S. Census. Strong in demographic statistics (population, birth, fertility rates, infant deaths, use of contraception). Like all databases it has a few surprises (population by religious group).
