 Working with Ashbya

Ashbya is easy to manipulate and grow in the laboratory using basically the same reagents as used for budding yeast, S. cerevisae.  Many protocols are available to culture, transform and observe Ashbya cells.  Please contact us if you have questions or would like to try growing Ashbya in your lab.

Protocols:

II. Reverse Genetics
Ashbya Transformation
Isolation of Genomic DNA
PCR with GEN3 deletion cassette
PCR with NAT1 deletion cassette
PCR with GFP tagging cassette
Verification PCR

IV. Biochemistry and RNA
Preparation of whole cell extracts
Immunoprecipitation (IP) from Ashbya protein extracts
Total RNA Isolation
