Dr. Amy Gladfelter

I started studying biology in my backyard where I collected earthworms and stored them in my sister’s lunchbox. My early work also involved gazing at leaf veins under a green plastic microscope shaped like a cricket.  Now, my curiosity is focused on understanding how cells coordinate growth and division and I collect data with the help of a wonderful Zeiss microscope and store images in a computer (which is not so lovely as that old metal lunch box).  Although I still enjoy a good dig into fresh soil searching for bits of life in the woods.  To read more about my professional life see my CV. To see a complete listing of my publications, please visit this link to Pub Med. To see what I teach at Dartmouth go here and to see the graduate program in which I participate go here.
