Welcome

You have stumbled your way across the webpage of Gregory Feiden. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Dartmouth College, nestled in the gorgeous setting of Hanover, New Hampshire. My research interests lie in the realm of stellar structure and evolution theory. In particular, I have an fascination with low mass stars - in this case, stars whose masses are less than that of our own Sun. My thesis work pertains to a problem that has become very well known in the eclipsing binary field: stellar evolution models are not able to predict the physical properties of low mass stars! My work will hopefully lead to a resolution, or at least a clearer understanding, of the physical processes involved in creating the discrepancies we observe.
