Michael Whitfield, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Genetics, has been awarded research funds by the Scleroderma Research Foundation for his project entitled, "A Gene Expression Map of Scleroderma."
Michael Whitfield, Ph.D., Charles Cole, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry and of Genetics, and Robert Gross, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biological Sciences, have received a 3 year research award from the National Human Genome Research Institute for their new project, "Development of RIP-Chip Methods and Tiled Arrays to Identify Functional Elements."
Jay Dunlap, Ph.D., Chairman and Professor of Genetics, has received an additional 4 years of funding from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences to continue work on his project, "Genetics and Molecular Dissection of the Neurospora Clock," now in it's 23rd year.
Jennifer Loros, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry and Genetics and Jay Dunlap, Ph.D., Professor of Genetics, have received a 4 year award from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences to continue work into the 19th year on their project, "Identification and Analysis of Circadian Clock-Controlled Genes."
Barbara Conradt, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Genetics, has received a 4 year from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences for her project "Regulation and role of dynamin-related GTPases in C. elegans apoptosis."
Charles Brenner, Ph.D., Professor of Genetics and of Biochemistry, has been awarded a 3 year grant on "New Steps in NAD+ Metabolism."
Charles Brenner, Ph.D., Professor of Genetics and of Biochemistry and Associate Director for Basic Sciences, Norris Cotton Cancer Center, has been awarded research funds for his dissection of the gene expression consequences of loss of FHIT from bronchial epithelial cells.
