Special Note: the correct answers to the three parts of Problem 2(a) are:

n = 4, l = 3, and m= -3, -2, -1, +1, +2, +3

If you had these answers (any or all of the three) but they were counted wrong, please return your exam to me so that I can correct your score! (If you had the wrong answer to any of these three, but you were given credit for your wrong answer, you do not need to return your exam.)

Shown below is a histogram for the second exam in the same format as that for the first exam.

First Exam

A practice exam is available in pdf format.

Solutions to this practice exam are now available.

Solutions to the exam itself are now available.

Shown below are some statistics on this exam. The histogram bins are labeled so that the numbers along the "Score" axis represent the upper limit to that bin. For example, the far right bin, 100, has no column above it, meaning there were no scores in the range 96 - 100, while the column above the 95 score is one unit tall, meaning one person's score was between 91 and 95, and that above 90 is six units tall, meaning 6 scores were in the range 86 to 90, etc.
