FYSEP began as a one-on-one peer mentorship program during the 2009-2010 academic year. It was so successful that this year we are adding a pre-orientation component five days before official orientation begins.

“Coming into my first year of college, I was nervous, confused, and I had no clue what to expect. FYSEP provided me with not only with a mentor, but also a good friend. My mentor gave me advice about which classes to take, good jobs on campus, and even helped me with my social concerns. I met some amazing people because of the network FYSEP provides, and I know I can go to any of them for help.
