Writing 5 Exemption Criteria for Class of 2011
The Writing Program at Dartmouth has determined the criteria for exemption
from Writing 5 and placement into a First-Year Seminar for the incoming class
of 2011. The criteria is as follows:
770 or above on the SAT I Critical Reading
OR
760 on the SAT I Critical Reading PLUS 720 or above on the SAT
I Writing
AP scores will not be used to determine placement for writing courses.
