Major: French and Theater

Current Work and Impact of French Major: Since graduation, I have been using my French in many capacities. In 2005, the Reynolds Scholarship took me from Hanover to Paris to study acting at École Jacques Lecoq. A year later, I returned to Paris to complete my M.A. in French Cultural Studies through Columbia University. I am currently teaching 7th-9th grade French at a school in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, where my days are wonderfully full of the famous Rassias “point, snap, look.” Last summer, I worked as a master teacher for the Rassias Program in Tours, and this summer I will be guiding my own students on a 10 day tour of the City of Lights. I am grateful on a daily basis for the richness and fullness that the French language and culture have brought to my life, as well as the many opportunities that are a direct result of my Dartmouth French experience. Mille fois merci to Professeur Rassias and all my professors.
