Major: Psychology with French Minor

Current Work and Impact of French Minor: I am currently living and working in Boston, Massachusetts conducting research in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. As a result of my foreign language experiences at Dartmouth College, I have been able to connect with many international scholars across Harvard University’s campuses. The opportunities I had to study abroad in both Toulouse and Paris as an undergraduate sparked my love for traveling and passion for learning about other cultures, interests that I have continued to pursue since graduation. My experience as a French minor has taught me that the world is much bigger than 50 states and has provided me with the ability to embrace the melting pot that is Boston, Massachusetts and interact with people in the city that hail from French-speaking countries all over the world. For that, I am truly grateful. As I prepare to transition to graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania this fall, I look forward to the opportunity to, once again, use my language skills inside and outside of the classroom. Upon completion of my graduate degree, I hope to work in multicultural affairs and student development at a college or university.
