Students studying French, Italian, and the other foreign languages at Dartmouth have the opportunity of working as Apprentice Teachers (AT's). An intensive workshop trains potential AT's in the Rassias method, which uses rapid response techniques in order to develop the language skills of our students. AT's are responsible for leading five drill sessions a week with small groups of seven to ten students, thus gaining valuable teaching experience and a thorough knowledge of the grammar that they are required to exercise with their pupils.
