States and Canadian history, Pre-Columbian to the present day. It also includes
citations to book reviews from over 100 major journals of American history and
culture and relevant dissertations. It is now THE index for journal literature
pertaining to American history. For articles published prior to 1964 it is necessary
to refer to Writings on American History published from 1902 -1961 by
the American Historical Association
