Who Does What?

There are two Campus Services departments that collaborate to improve Dartmouth's physical campus and manage construction projects

Facilities Operations & Management (FO&M) is the steward of Dartmouth's physical campus and therefore responsible for:

  • Services such as cleaning, moving furniture, event setup and grounds care
  • Maintenance and repair of broken equipment or systems, heating/cooling adjustments, etc.
  • Planned maintenance such as seasonal grounds care, periodic painting and carpet cleaning
  • Renovations including improvements and remodeling
  • New construction related to infrastructure and capital improvements

To request maintenance and repair services or office set-up, such as hanging white boards, building shelves, etc., create a Service Request or contact FO&M.

Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) is responsible for managing Dartmouth's capital development program, including master planning, space planning, and the full life-cycle of development from conceptual design through construction.

To initiate a capital project or request changes to work or classroom space, contact PD&C.
