Recycling collection is coordinated through the efforts of the Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) and volunteer students on each floor of the residence halls. All residence halls have basement recycling rooms.
The building custodians manage recycling collection. Campus recycling is picked up by the College's Truck Crew and taken to various consolidation compactors on campus. The compactors are picked up by Northeast Waste Services, Inc. Our recycling is brokered and recycled by Northeast Waste Services, Inc.
If you need recycling bins in your area please contact your custodian or Dartmouth Recycles.
If you have a large volume of bulk recycling please contact Dartmouth Recycles to arrange for extra bins and pickup.
If you have accidentally thrown something out that you want to get back contact Work Control immediately. There is a small chance that we may be able to catch the recycling before it leaves the building.
Your recycling will still be managed by the building custodian, but the final collection of the recycling may be done by the College's Truck Crew or Northeast Waste Services. Contact Dartmouth Recycles with any questions about recycling collection in your building.
If you live in Hanover your recycling program will be part of the Hanover Curbside program. Contact Hanover Public Works (643-3327) for information on this program.
