Parking for Individuals with Disabilities

Dartmouth recognizes all valid State issued handicapped plates and placards. Parking decals are also required for Dartmouth employees and Dartmouth students with State issued handicapped passes.

All handicapped parking spaces and handicapped entranceways are marked with the proper signage. Anyone parking in these spaces without the proper issued handicapped plate or placard or blocking the path to a handicapped entrance, will be ticketed and/or towed at the owners' expense.

Temporary Handicapped Parking

Students living on campus are encouraged to use Safety and Security's services of transport for getting around campus when temporarily handicapped. Parking on campus is extremely limited and the Parking Office will issue permits based on the need and availability.

Special Parking Request Form

A Special Parking Request Form must be submitted to the Parking Office before a temporary permit can be issued. The form must be filled out and signed by a medical professional. The form is available in the Parking Office or it can be printed on line. DO NOT submit the form on line. It may be faxed to 603-646-9200 or submitted in person to the Parking Office at 37 Dewey Field Road, room 201 to the attention of Robin Guay.
