Zipcar is a membership-based car-sharing company that provides auto rentals by the hour or day. There are two vehicles stationed on campus in convenient locations; one nearby the Blunt Alumni Center and the other in front of McKenzie Hall. Zipcars are available, for a modest registration fee, to Dartmouth students and employees (21 years or older) and to the Upper Valley community as well. For insurance reasons, only drivers 21 and older are able to use the cars, though the College may reexamine this restriction in the future.
The Zipcars allow people who don’t have access to a vehicle to reserve a car on-line for use by the hour or by the day.
