GENERAL INFO
Are available to students, faculty, employees and guests of the College. Offices expecting visitors must obtain permits prior to such visits. Call 646-2340.
All faculty and employees wishing to use Dartmouth parking facilities must register their vehicles with the Parking Office. There is a Parking fee that may be payroll deducted for regular/full-time employees. Second and third shift employees must register (no charge). There is a $50.00 fine for any employee failing to register and found parking in campus lots. Employees living in College rental housing must also register their vehicles, please bring a copy of the lease when registering. The College offers incentives not to bring a motor vehicle to work, and also encourages carpooling. Registration permits must be affixed to the front driver's side and right rear bumpers of the vehicle or the passenger front and drivers side back windows. DO NOT place over expired decal.
All students bringing motor vehicles to Hanover must register these with the Parking Office located at 37 Dewey Field Road, room 201. There is a $50 fine for any student failing to register for campus lots or for off-campus parking. Student resident parking (A-lot) registration is by the term and must be renewed each term. There is a fee for parking in college lots; there is no charge to register for off-campus parking (i.e. fraternities, sororities, and private homes). Off-campus registration must be renewed each year for the period July1 - June 30. Students are required to show the vehicle registration and their valid driver's license when registering. Registration permits must be affixed to the front driver's side and right rear bumpers of the vehicle or the passenger front and drivers side back windows. DO NOT place over expired decal.
Lots are restricted for use by signs at entrance indicating the type of permit required.
Visitor spaces are clearly marked and are off limits to students, student guests, faculty and employees. Visitors must obtain temporary permits from the Parking Office located at 5 Rope Ferry Rd., extension 62204.
All handicapped and reserved spaces are clearly marked and off limits to all except the vehicle(s) described on the sign.
Student vehicles are not allowed to park on campus between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Short-term parking (15 minute limit) to do College business and to load and unload vehicles will be allowed only when accompanied by the use of emergency flashers. This does not include fire lanes, entrances to buildings, lawns, or blocking sidewalks and roadways.
Official posted signs determines the use of all parking areas. Areas not marked are "no parking" areas.
