It has been seen that many students have accrued sizable fines for multiple parking infractions without evidencing any improvement in their repeated incidence of improper parking habits. It is the changed behavior that enforcement seeks to instill in the individuals who are operating vehicles outside the bounds of the stated parking regulations. The following is a schedule of actions that will be taken for repeated violations of improper parking on campus:
The schedule below is effective for each academic year: 7/1 - 6/30
| Number of Violations | Resulting Action |
|---|---|
| 3 | Student is sent a warning letter from the Parking Office |
| 4 | Vehicle is Towed or booted |
| 5 | Vehicle will be impounded for 2 days (cars towed on Friday Will be released on Monday) |
| 6 | Vehicle will be impounded for one week |
| 7 | Vehicle will be impounded for two weeks |
| 8 | Vehicle will be impounded for the remainder of the term and student will not be allowed to have a vehicle on campus for the next two terms enrolled. Action may be referred to the appropriate Class Dean for disciplinary review. |
NOTE: For any further violation of the Parking Policy, the Parking Office reserves the right to deny student-parking privileges entirely.
The schedule is intended to defer students from repeatedly parking in unauthorized areas, depending on the nature of the violation the timing of the ticket the above sequence may not always be possible.
NOTHING STATED ABOVE ALTERS THE PUBLISHED PARKING FINE POLICY.
