Driver Approval Process

Submit Driver Application form and copy of driver's license to P&TS-Driver Safety for MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review & approval

STUDENTS ONLY - Receive endorsement from Undergraduate Judicial Affairs

Successfully complete on-line Defensive Driver course

For Modified 15 passenger vans for 8 occupants or Sprinter vans for 10 occupants
|
- Become driver approved
- Attend behind-the-wheel van testing (Contact P&TS-Driver Safety for more information or to schedule a road test)
|
|
For Microbuses for 15 occupants
|
- Become driver approved
- Obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, DOT physicals can be arranged through Dick's House.
- STUDENTS ONLY - Attend Special Bus Safety Review Program (Contact P&TS-Driver Safety for more information or to schedule a road test)
- Attend behind-the-wheel bus testing/training (Contact P&TS-Driver Safety for more information or to schedule a road test)

For Vehicles with Gross Vehicle Weight Rating +26,001 Lbs., or Hazardous Materials Placard
