Responsible for the operation of the following areas within FO&M.
- Providing technical services and operational reviews for
buildings/systems
- Managing the College's Power Plant/Utilities
and utility Dig Safes
- Designing and Project management of utility and building mechanical &
electrical systems
- Renovation and overall construction management services
- Maintaining college drawing files and reproduces drawings
- Providing engineering and construction management services to the
Facilities Planning Office and Office of Residential Life
- Contracts all engineering consultants and contractors for large
utility/maintenance construction projects, Design &
Construction Project Guidelines from the Facilities Planning Office.
Engineering implements energy conservation policies and projects, such as
lighting upgrades, window replacements and electrical motor replacements. All
air conditioning requests are made through Engineering, for a detailed review.

The Engineering Services department chairs the FOM safety committee and
works closely with Environmental Health & Safety on such issues as
hazardous waste disposal and indoor air quality issues. Building code
issues/interpretations are also reviewed by this office.
