The following are maximum allowable flow rates for newly installed devices:
shower heads at 2.5 gpm, faucets at 1.5 gpm and toilets at 3.0 gpf. Over time,
the College will retrofit older non-compliant devices. All laboratory equipment
requiring water for cooling will utilize a closed-loop, recirculated water
system.
Individuals should take care to use water sparingly, be sure to completely
turn off water after use, and report leaking taps or valves to FO&M.
Any deviations from the standards above must be reviewed by FO&M.
