Comments:

TRMM TMI data show heavy rain over the northern part of Mindanao Island on December 23 and 25th, and scattered smaller areas of rain over the island on the 24th and 26th. News reports stated that the cities of Talisayan, Medina and Lugait in the Misamis Oriental region on the northern coast of Mindanao were inundated with rain over the holiday weekend. The rain caused flooding that killed eight and forced the evacuation of more than 600 families.
