Comments:
TRMM TMI data show areas of intense precipatation over the Wabe Shebelle River in Eastern Ethiopia close to the Somalia border on October 27 and the 29th. News reports from October 30 and November 1 indicate that the Wabe Shebelle River burst its banks and inundated 50 communites between the cities of Mustahil and Kelafo.
In these images:
Rainfall and snowfall: yellow and white areas (yellowish white is highest intensity precipitation)
Oceans: light blue (low water vapour) to dark blue (high water vapour)
