Comments:

TRMM TMI data show heavy rain over Thailand, Vietnam and Malyasia begining on October 22 and continuing through the 25th. Reports said the rains were caused by a tropical depression in the Gulf of Thailand. Flooding and fatalities were first reported on October 26th in Thailand and on October 27th in Vietnam and Malyasia. Heavy rains on the Vietnam coast can be seen the in TRMM images for October 31 and November 1. Central Coastal Vietnam continued to experience heavy rain through November 7th. Flooding in the areas around Hue and Danang in Thua Thien Hue Province was the worst in a century. On November 3 Pursat province in Cambodia, including Phnom Penh, also experienced heavy flooding. Heavy rains over Cambodia can be seen in the TRMM image for November 1.
