Comments:
TRMM TMI data show heavy rain over the Niger delta area on 10/18 and possibly 10/20; then a major storm 10/22-10/23. According to news reports flooding and fatalities along the banks of the Niger began on October 27 when the Niger River overflowed in the Oguta area of Imo State. Farther downriver in Rivers State severe flooding was reported in the first week of November.

Rainfall and snowfall: yellow and white areas (yellowish white is highest intensity precipitation)
Oceans: light blue (low water vapour) to dark blue (high water vapour)
