Oracle General Ledger

The Oracle General Ledger (GL) is the new system that replaced FAS as the processing engine for accounting transactions submitted across the College. It provides a stable environment for handling financial data shared across a fully, integrated suite of financial applications.

Journaling entries, which were previously submitted using FAS$Input, are now submitted using Web ADI, a tool that utilizes an Excel template to upload entries.

In addition to a new general ledger system, all the sub-systems that send financial information to the GL have been modified to accommodate the new 6-segment chart strings. This means revised data input screens for systems such as FAMIS, Banner, Advance, and others.
