Associate Professor Mark Williams and Professor Michael Casey (Department of Music)
have been awarded an NEH Digital Humanities Start-Up Grant for their project ACTION
(Audio visual Cinematic Toolbox for Interaction, Organization, and Navigation):
an open source Python platform. The project will initiate a study of the machine
reading of significant historical film texts, in relation to formative theoretical
