Jeffrey Ruoff's article “Ten Nights in Tunisia: Les Journées Cinématographiques de Carthage” was published in Film International (v. 6, n. 4, 2008, pp. 43-51). Jeff also attended the Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland in June 2008.
Jeffrey Ruoff worked with Bill Pence to design this summer's Dartmouth Film Society "Africa on Film" series. Chadian filmmaker Mahamet Saleh-Haroun was awarded the Dartmouth Film Award on July 11, and Jeff hosted a discussion with the filmmaker after a screening of his film Daratt in Loew Auditorium.
