The East Wheelock Service Corps
The Cluster Service Corps is unique among the Dartmouth residential clusters. Initiated by Community Director Lisa Kerr and a committed band of students in 2002, the East Wheelock Service Corps works hard to build community through service to others. Recent projects include establishing a special relationship with the Albert Bridge School, a rural Vermont primary school, helping raise money and collect books for Books for Africa, Trick or Treat For Cans: an event that
annually raises between 300-500 cans for a local food bank, and collaborating on special projects with the Tucker Foundation,
the Donation of a Sheep to a family through
Heifer International, and Alternative Spring
Break Fundraisers to the Dominican Republic.
The Service Corps Co-Chairs meet regularly with the Cluster Council, the Community Director, the Faculty Associate, and our administrative assistant to coordinate their projects and events with the entire cluster. The Cluster is very proud of this community venture and invites everyone to participate to whatever extent you can.
The Cluster Service Corps Chairs for Fall 2008 are Ron Chavarria, Angela
Zhang, and Alice Zhao. Contact Tessa Tyson if you would like to be
involved in the East Wheelock Service Corps. Weekly Service Corps Meetings
are at 7pm, in the McCulloch 1st Floor Lounge.
