Non Sequitur Plays at the "White House" 10/14

This dynamic sextet—violin, percussion, cello, flute, piano and clarinet—is fast developing a reputation as one of the most exciting and versatile new-music ensembles emerging today. Non Sequitur's innovative vision brings to the same program works from such diverse composers as Boulez, Mingus and Zappa. Established at the Aspen Music Festival in 1996, where it served in residence for two years, Non Sequitur has toured Europe and is now based in New Hampshire, where it has also been ensemble-in-residence at the Walden School for young composers. The ensemble's Hop concert features the premiere of Hop-commissioned pieces by Ken Ueno and Paul Koonce.

Two Thirds of the Non Sequitur Sextet are pictured here. We had an hour of music and questions, then shared a lovely buffet dinner. You can follow the Non Sequitur Sextet with their website: www.nonseq.org.
