The First-Year Experience
One of the purposes
of this unique living arrangement is to ensure
that the academic and social transition from
high school to college occurs in ways that
permit first-year students to take advantage of
the College's extraordinary academic resources —
especially its faculty — and to attain their
highest levels of achievement.

The East Wheelock Cluster provides a place on campus within which a community of scholars students and faculty discover common intellectual purposes and ideals.
-Poker with the Professors-
It creates new kinds of faculty relationships that cross disciplinary boundaries, as well as new types of faculty and student interaction that extend the possibilities for intellectual discourse beyond the walls of the individual classroom and faculty offices.
