The East Wheelock Cluster Council
The Cluster Council helps to fund and plan student-initiated programs in the cluster, allowing students truly
to take charge of their social and intellectual experience. Students meet weekly to discuss plans for upcoming events, address
the needs and concerns of residents, and voice their opinions about the
programming and direction of the East Wheelock Cluster.
A Cappella concerts, coffee houses, community dinners with professors, prominent
national scholars, and artists, movie showings, and a multitude of performance
groups — these are just some examples of recent Council-sponsored programs. Brace
Commons, an ideal venue for many such events, frequently attracts students from
across campus to East Wheelock sponsored events.
The Council also sponsors off-campus trips ranging from apple picking in nearby
orchards to weekend excursions to Boston, New York, Montreal, and other cities.
We also help students celebrate holidays such as Halloween,
Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day and the Chinese New Year.
The Cluster Council Chairs
for Fall 2008 are Kevin Liao and Francisco
Reveriano.
